A Simple Peace Day

On Sunday, October 21st the Greater Putnam Interfaith Council held it's annual Peace Day Ceremony. It was a beautiful day outside and although the ceremony was short, it was a simple expression of the intention to spread Peace throughout our town and throughout the world. We'd like to thank David Baird, our MCee, John Etheridge for his singing, Jordan Stern for the Jewish prayer for peace, Mehmet Yaramis for the Muslim prayer for peace, Anthony Foronda for the Catholic prayer for peace, Lyn Tolar for the B'hai and Unitarian prayer for peace, and Sister Phap Chan for the Buddhist Prayer for Peace and conducting our Walking Meditation. We'd also like to thank all those involved in the planning of the event and those that came out to participate. May Peace Prevail on Earth.
